| VALE CENTRE Courtyard of The Manor House, Stoke Trister, Wincanton, Somerset BA9 9PH info@valehealing.co.uk Tel 01963 33360 70 acres of farmland, woods and springs. On the border of 3 Counties: Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset. 2 hours from London by road or rail Introduction to Vale Centre The house has a long history dating back some 600 years. The hamlet of Stoke Trister is mentioned in the Doomsday Book and in more recent times the Parish Church and grave yard of Stoke Trister were located in the grounds of The Manor before being relocated up the hill by the Victorians in the 1830s. Each successive generation since the 1950s have put their heart and soul into repairing The Manor House and creating gardens with springs running down from the hill sides, and in more recent times (2003), the development of the farmyard (which had been derelict for some 40 years) into the present day Courtyard of Vale Centre. Location The wonderful thing about Vale Centre is that this fantastic environment is only 2 hours from London (Paddington and Waterloo) yet set in magnificent country side with sweeping views of the Blackmore Vale. The position of the Manor House at the end of a no-through road in the hamlet of Stoke Trister gives us much privacy. A safe haven from the 'hectic pace' of the modern world.
